Students Make Holiday Cookies Together

Schalmont High School culinary students worked with 5th graders last week to teach them how to make holiday cookies! Working side-by-side in the Family and Consumer Sciences kitchen, culinary students taught younger students how to measure precisely, combine ingredients, and work safely with food. Students Lead Hanukkah Presentation

Fifth graders in Ms. Scotti’s class had a wonderful experience with a student-led presentation on Hanukkah Thursday. The lesson was part of a classroom exploration of diverse celebrations around the world. In honor of the first day of Hanukkah, students delved into the traditions and enjoyed playing the dreidel game. Great job, students!

Kindness Project Spreads Holiday Cheer

First graders in Mrs. LeRoy’s and Miss Pink’s classes teamed up recently with Middle School students for a Holiday Kindness Project! Middle School student leaders helped first graders make holidays cards and Christmas tree crafts that will be delivered to a local nursing home and children’s hospital. Great job! More photos
