Schalmont is beyond proud to share this wonderful art project that connected some of our 1st graders with our High School sculpture students.
First graders in Mrs. LeRoy and Miss Pink’s classes were challenged earlier this year to make drawings of their favorite stuffies. As you can see from the photos, they did an amazing job.
Mrs. Mulkerrin’s High School Sculpture classes then used the children’s drawings to create sculptures of the stuffies. The project was featured at our Middle & High School Art Show in May after which 1st graders were given their stuffy sculptures to keep.
Great work by all of our student artists and thank you to our teachers for a truly special project!
