Science Honor Society students enjoyed a field trip to the Patroon Land Farm Thursday where they helped prepare a field for planting in the spring.
Managed by the Regional Food Bank, the Patroon Land Farm supplies fresh produce for the Food Bank’s programs to feed the hungry and helps educate students and the community about agriculture.
Schalmont High School students volunteered by removing rocks from a field, which also helps keep the farm’s equipment in working order. The students’ help was important to the Land Bank, which relies on volunteers to help its efforts.
