Schalmont’s Creative Writing and Advanced Drawing & Painting classes spent Wednesday reading to Jefferson Elementary students the children’s books they wrote and illustrated as part of a collaborative book project!
Students in Mrs. Mattice’s Creative Writing class spent months writing “Tiki & Tara Turkey, “The Crayon Snatcher” and other stories which Mrs. Mulkerrin’s Drawing & Painting class illustrated.
Creative Writing students celebrated their completed books Wednesday by sharing them with Jefferson Elementary classes, who were in awe of the books as well as the juniors and seniors. Students also spent time drawing together.
What an amazing project and wonderful job of working together and inspiring our youngest learners!
