Schalmont Middle School and Jefferson Elementary students are again raising money and awareness for Ronald McDonald House of Albany by reading in March!
Read for Ronald McDonald House provides a way for families and friends to sponsor the time students spend reading. The initiative encourages students to read and raises money to support the organization that helps families with children who are battling serious health challenges.
Schalmont Middle School’s Student Council kicked off their fundraising efforts, which starts this week, by encouraging students to participate. Their challenge also includes opportunities to run and write as well as read to raise money. Jefferson Elementary’s efforts start in March.
Participation forms were sent home with students but each school also has its own online webpage where donations can be made.
Great job students! We look forward to sharing more about your efforts throughout March!
