Students learned about American Sign Language this week as guest presenter Kaitlyn Desautels visited several Jefferson Elementary classrooms.
Ms. Desautels, who is fluent in ASL, taught students how to spell their names and shared her experiences working with people who are deaf. “The only thing people who are deaf can’t do is hear,” Ms. Desautels told students.
