Ms. Pink’s 1st grade class treated residents of Kingsway Senior Living Community to an old-fashioned Sock Hop last week, as they sang, danced and shared with seniors.
Students filled the room with smiles as they danced to songs like “The Twist” and “The Locomotion”. They also led seniors in a sing-along of “What a Wonderful World” and engaged with them by sharing toys from the 1950s and what they learned about them.
Wonderful job, students! Seniors were still talking about the visit days later!
