Schalmont is pleased to announce that school breakfasts and lunches will now be free for all Schalmont students starting Friday, December 1.

Schalmont applied for additional funding available to schools through the National School Lunch and Breakfast program, which was approved last week.

“I am so proud of Maria Zarrillo (Food Services Director). Every Schalmont student will be able to get free school meals thanks to her efforts,” said Superintendent Dr. Thomas Reardon.

Student cafeteria accounts will still be used for a la carte items and snacks. School meals will be free for the remainder of the school year. We will update families if the program is expanded to future school years.
