Schalmont is seeking community members for a Pre-K Committee to study the feasibility of starting a district pre-kindergarten program in the future.
“We believe a universal Pre-K program could be incredibly beneficial for our Schalmont families but there are so many logistics to consider that we need time to thoroughly study the idea,” said Superintendent Dr. Thomas Reardon. “We would like to involve our community through a committee to make sure we don’t miss any challenges involved in creating the program.”
The Pre-K Committee would meet starting this fall and meet throughout the school year as needed. Anyone interested in joining the committee is asked to email Dr. Reardon at treardon@schalmont.net by Friday, October 7.
We will keep our community updated of any developments as we examine the feasibility of creating the Pre-K program. Thank you.
