Schalmont High School’s Civil Engineering Architecture class recently completed their final design project, which was judged by professionals from our community for a class competition.
“The site used for redesign is the current BJ’s Wholesale Club located on West Campbell Road,” explained Teacher Mrs. Stearns. “The students worked in groups and proposed possibilities for new uses for the area such as office space, recreational areas, a trampoline park, and a fitness center.”
Congratulations to 1st place winners Henry Pihlaja-Zubal and Nate Parrella for their design Above Average Fitness, 2nd place winners Carmine DeLorenzo and Emma Sellnow for their design The Stearns Recreational Center Fitness, and 3rd place winners Owen Preissler and Jayden Quindara for their design Rotterdam Recreations!
