Jefferson Elementary is once again participating in the Read for Ronald McDonald House Program this year! The program supports the Ronald McDonald House of Albany, which provides housing and supportive services to families of children who are sick and receiving treatment from our local area hospitals.
Our Jefferson students will once again be reading to raise money to support the families at the Ronald McDonald House. Students are encouraged to gather pledges from family and friends in support of the reading they will do from March 1 to March 31. Donations raised will be used to support the families at the Ronald McDonald House.
Please note that there are two options to sponsor our young readers. The traditional way will allow you to use the sponsor form, which will be sent home with students, and send in your donations at the conclusion of the program. The second option allows families to set up their own fundraising webpage by visiting this website.
Last year we raised nearly $3,100 and had close to 25 students participate. We are hoping to exceed last year’s numbers in support of this wonderful organization!
