Schalmont is beyond proud to congratulate Jefferson Elementary students Chloe and Riley Conrad who knew just what to do when their family had a house fire just days before Christmas.

Chloe and Riley were recognized Monday by the Pine Grove Fire Department for their actions after Chloe smelled smoke in their house in the middle of a late December night and immediately woke up her family. Riley also knew of the importance of getting low on the floor and crawling because of what she learned in school.
