Congratulations to senior Lily Burgess who was selected to perform clarinet with the NYS School Music Association All-State Symphonic Band!

Lily will travel to Rochester later this week where she will perform with some of the best student musicians from across the state. She was selected to join the music festival after her All-State NYSSMA solo last spring.

“Lily has been a valued member of the Schalmont Music Department for many years,” said Music Teacher Mr. Christy. “Lily is Principal Clarinetist in our Wind Ensemble, President of the Tri-M Music Honor Society and an active member of the Empire State Youth Orchestra. We wish Lily well as she represents Schalmont at this prestigious festival!”
