Schalmont Homecoming is Oct. 7

Sept. 28, 2016

Homecoming is a special time of year when the Schalmont community and alumni come together to celebrate what makes the district special.

We hope your entire family will join us on Friday, Oct. 7 for a variety of fun activities designed for all ages, including sports, entertainment and the traditional homecoming football game.

Activities start at 3 p.m. in and around the high school new gym as sports teams, classes and clubs sell food, drinks and goods, including Schalmont apparel, until 6 p.m. Featured activities include mini golf, bounce house, face painting and the Superintendent’s Green Raffle. There will be a KingPin tournament for students in grades 5-8. Musical entertainment will be provided by DJ Libertucci.

At 3:30 p.m., support Schalmont soccer players at the Boys’ Varsity Soccer Game vs. Albany Academy and the Girls’ Varsity Soccer Game vs. Albany Academy.

Then head off to the field for the football game against Ravena. Suggested donation (proceeds to benefit Jack’s Place, Tyler DeMarco Foundation, Melodies Center and Things of My Very Own) to the football game is $2 for adults and $1 for students; children under the age of 5 are free.

Don't miss the Schalmont Marching Band/Color Guard performance at half-time.

Show your school spirit by wearing green. Go Sabres!

Students in eighth grade and below attending the football game MUST be accompanied by a supervising adult. As safety precaution, our SRO and Rotterdam Police along with security guards will be present throughout the event.
