Schalmont Central School District believes that participation in sports provides a wealth of opportunities and experiences on the playing field and in the classroom.
The district offers students opportunities to participate in more than 18 sports across three seasons. Schalmont is a member of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association, competing as a member of Section 2.
The mission of New York State interscholastic athletic programs is to foster the quest for excellence by creating an educational and competitive experience within an atmosphere of sportsmanship. Successful programs develop individual and team potential by promoting high standards of competence, character, civility and citizenship.
All Schalmont Central School District sports schedules are now available online through colonialcouncil.org. Visitors can view all sports events scheduled for the day or individual team schedules by season. Once you access the site, you will be able to subscribe for text messages and e-mail notifications for all athletic teams, including event reminders and change notifications.

As our football season gets underway at Schalmont on Friday, we want to remind you that students in eighth grade and below MUST be accompanied by a supervising adult or they will not be admitted to the football game. An adult may be a parent, coach, grandparent or guardian. Please also note that horseplay, wrestling, football, soccer, tag, and other recreational activities are not allowed on the playing fields.
The Schalmont Athletic Association is an active organization of interested parents, community members, alumni parents and students. We promote Schalmont student athletes and their athletic programs. We strive to provide school spirit, school pride and recognition of our student athletes. We are of group of volunteers who work to generate funds that are used to provide improvements in our facilities, school spirit activities and universal equipment that are beyond what can be provided by the school district. click here for more information.
